An exhibition of extraordinary photographs
by Renate Pfleiderer will open at
the Sag Harbor Florist, 3 Bay Street,
on Saturday, August 13th.
The "Flower Portraits", macro-images in vivid color,
create an intimacy usually reserved for
personal portraiture.
"We must look very closely at Nature," says Ms.
Pfleiderer, "for Her creations to open our hearts. My
compositions with light only enhance what Nature has
created; the little miracles in these photographs
were made by Nature, not me."
The show also features some flowers in black & white,
some hand-colored black & white silver prints and
several polaroid image transfers and triptychs.
The opening will take place from 5pm to 8pm
with wine, cheese and appetizers.
Come see and enjoy the artistic photography
displayed. This photos are highlighted by fragrant
blossoms at the Sag Harbor Florist.
The show will run through September 15th, 2006
